Information Requested By HMS
When HMS requests that the ALTCS local office provide it with information, the local office must do so in a timely fashion.
Questions about Claims and TEFRA Liens
When an ALTCS Local Office receives any of the following, forward it immediately to the Health Management Systems (HMS) or the AHCCCS TPL Unit (MA 1901):
A “notice to creditor” letter; or
Direct questions received from customers, representatives, and others about the Long Term Care Estate Recovery Program and TEFRA liens; or
Any calls or legal documents regarding Estate Recovery or TEFRA Liens.
