There are three SSI-MAO specialty groups:
Disabled Adult Child (DAC);
Disabled Widow Widower (DWW); or
Pickle.
Everyone in these groups previously received SSI Cash benefits from the Social Security Administration.
All persons who apply for SSI-MAO must be screened to see if they qualify for one of the specialty groups.
Persons in the SSI MAO specialty groups must meet all of the SSI MAO requirements as well as the special conditions in MA413. The income limit for all of the SSI-MAO Specialty Groups is 100% of the Federal Benefit Rate (FBR), but special income disregards may apply.
